Overview

Ravensbourne people are as diverse as the city we occupy and the industries we serve. Students and colleagues. Research and business partners. We are united by a desire to innovate and change the world through creativity. Ravensbourne was created in 1959 by the amalgamation of Bromley School of Art (opened in 1878) and the Department of Furniture Design of Beckenham School of Art. 2,400 students in total attend the University, and the main Ravensbourne campus is next to The O2, an entertainment district at Greenwich Peninsula.

Ravensbourne have a strong track record in getting good jobs for our graduates, because we equip them with the practical skills they need to excel in the workplace. Our current graduate employability rate is an impressive 94.7%, so 19 out of 20 students are in employment or further study within 6 months of graduating. We have close working relationships with local and national industries, making sure that as a Ravensbourne learner you’ll have access to a wealth of work placement opportunities.

Our staff aren’t just highly regarded academics – many of them also bring with them years of experience with industry greats, from Vogue to Walt Disney Studios, the BBC and more. So you’ll be learning from the experts. In the 50 years since we were established, we’ve built a name for ourselves by producing some of Britain’s finest – and most diverse – creative talent. We’re currently in the top 20 in the EU and in the top 10 in the UK for Art & Design *QS World University Rankings.
