  1. Minimum net worth within GT Area is CAD $800,000.00 and outside GT Area is CAD $400,000.00.

If proposed business is in communications and information technology, CAD $400,000.00 is required anywhere in province.

  1. Minimum investment within GT Area is CAD $600,00.00 and outside GT Area is CAD $200,000.00. If proposed business is in communications and information technology, CAD $200,000.00 is required anywhere in province.
  2. At least 24 months full time business experience in the last five years as a business owner or senior manager is required.
  3. No refundable deposit is required.
  4. Business plan is required.
  5. Create 2 full time jobs.
  6. Minimum CLB4 is required in English
  7. Exploratory visit is required if buying an existing business in Ontario.
  8. Must be physically living in Ontario for at least 75% of the time you are managing the business.

British Columbia Entrepreneur Immigration – Regional Pilot

The Entrepreneur Regional Pilot aims to attract motivated and experienced entrepreneurs to open a business in smaller communities of B.C. and contribute to their specific labour needs.

B.C. Entrepreneur – Regional Pilot has following requirements:

  1. Minimum net worth CAD $ 300,000.00.
  2. Minimum investment Invest minimum CAD $100,000.00 in an eligible business.
  3. 3+ years of business ownership or management experience

4+ years of senior management experience

1+ year of business ownership & management experience and 2+ years of senior management experience within the last 5 years.

  1. Create 1 full time jobs.
  2. Business plan is required.
  3. Minimum CLB4 is required in English
  4. Exploratory visit is recommended.
  5. A population of fewer than 75,000 people of suggested community.
  6. Located beyond 30 KM of a municipality of more than 75,000 people.

British Columbia Entrepreneur Immigration – Strategic Projects

The B.C. Strategic Projects stream assists foreign controlled companies establishing an eligible business in B.C. with the timely entry of foreign key managerial, professional or technical staff who intend to become permanent residents of Canada and settle in B.C.

B.C. Entrepreneur – Strategic Projects has following requirements:

  1. Minimum equity investment of CAD $500,000.00
  2. Create at least 3 new jobs
  3. Establish or purchase and expand a company in B.C.
  4. Exploratory visit is recommended.

Alberta Self-Employed Farmer Stream

The Alberta Self-Employed Farmer Stream is managed by the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program in collaboration with the Alberta Agriculture and Forestry and they target applicants with farm managements experience and sufficient financial resources to invest in a farming business in Alberta.

Alberta self-employed farmer stream has following requirements:

  1. Minimum net worth CAD $ 500,000.00.
  2. Minimum investment A minimum equity investment is CAD $500,000.00

New Brunswick Business Immigration

The New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program Entrepreneurial Stream is aimed at professionals ready to invest in a business in the province and settle there with their families.

Requirements are listed below:

  1. Minimum net worth CAD $600,000.00
  2. Minimum investment CAD $250,00.00
  3. Age must be between 22 to 55 years
  4. Minimum two years post-secondary education degree or diploma
  5. CLB level 5 is required
  6. 3 years business experience of ownership or 5 years of senior management experience in the last five years

Saskatchewan Business Immigration

Saskatchewan is one of the Canada’s prairie provinces with a vibrant culture and welcoming peoples. The Saskatchewan Entrepreneur Stream allows investors and their families to start business in the province.  It has following requirements:

Saskatchewan Farm Owners / Operators Stream

This category is aimed at individuals with experience in farming who want to purchase and operate a farm in Saskatchewan.  It also includes a stream aimed at young farmers wishing to establish themselves in the province.  Successful investors are issued permanent residence directly. 

Both farmer streams have following requirements:

Farm Owners/Operators Stream

  1. Minimum net worth CAD $500,000.00
  2. Initial refundable deposit CAD $75,000.00 with the province is required
  3. Exploratory visit is required prior to the application
  4. Documented proof for far operation knowledge and experience

Young Farmer Stream

  1. Minimum net worth CAD $300,000.00
  2. Minimum 3 years experience in farm ownership / management
  3. Exploratory visit is required prior to the application
  4. Age must be under 40 at the time of application

Manitoba Business Immigration

Manitoba Business Investor Stream is aimed at qualified international business investors and entrepreneurs.  Investors are initially issued with a temporary work permit and they must start or purchase a business in Manitoba within two years of arrival.

It has following requirements:

  1. Minimum net worth CAD $500,000.00
  2. Minimum investment CAD $250,00.00 for businesses in Manitoba Capital Region and CAD $150,000.00 for businesses outside Manitoba Capital Region
  3. At least 3-year business ownership and management experience or executive level experience in last 5 years.
  4. Business plan is required
  5. Sign a business performance agreement
  6. Create 1 full time job
  7. CLB level 5 is required

Manitoba Farm Investor Pathway

Farm Investor Pathway is for those investors who want to open and operate a farm in rural Manitoba.  Investors are initially issued a temporary work permit. 

It has following requirements:

  1. Minimum net worth CAD $500,000.00
  2. Minimum investment CAD $300,00.00
  3. At least 3-year verifiable business ownership and management experience
  4. English language capability is also required.
  5. Farm Business plan is required
  6. Conduct a farm business research visit to Manitoba
  7. Active participation in farm development by the investor is required
