Brooke House College
Overview
Brooke House College is a family operated, international independent residential College, situated in the heart of England. Students wishing to undertake their general education within a British curriculum can undertake GCSEs, A levels or our University Foundation Programme. There is a good range of academic subject choice; all supported with English and IELTS preparation classes where necessary.
The University Foundation Programme offers subject pathways in; Business, Law, Accounting, Arts, Media, Medicine, Architecture, Engineering, Computing, whilst the new Medicine Preparation Foundation Programme has pathways to good university medical schools all offering the appropriate clinical practice.
Academic English classes are provided at no extra charge and all international students are prepared for IELTS examinations, assisted with careers guidance and their university applications, whether in the UK or overseas.
There is a high ratio of staff to student throughout the school and learning takes place in small classes allowing for teachers to focus on individual learning styles. There is also a strong focus on preparing students well for university, both academically and independence.
Services for International Students
The Brooke House academic team work closely with students to achieve their full potential, desired goals and progress to excellent worldwide Universities, many “Top 25” and/or Russell Group institutions. Brooke House College has a successful Football Academy, in which students can opt to develop football skills alongside academic programmes.
Accommodation
All our accommodation is age appropriate. University foundation programme students are housed in good quality, over 18 accommodation, only a short walk from the school.
Location
Brooke House College is situated in the small, typically English town of Market Harborough. Market Harborough lies less than 1 hour north of London by train, and is 1.5 hours from Heathrow airport by car. The town offers the visitor an exciting range of shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. Brooke House students have for many years enjoyed a close and friendly relationship with the people of Market Harborough.
The county of Leicestershire contains some beautiful countryside and the most picturesque of villages. Leicestershire is truly in ‘the heart of England’ and the major cities of Cambridge, Oxford and England’s second city, Birmingham, are all very accessible
